Dato’ Seri Vida Impresses Malaysians with Her Mandarin-Speaking Skills in Sabah
Popular Malaysian entrepreneur and celebrity Dato’ Seri Vida, affectionately known as DSV, recently captured the attention of Malaysians with a video of her interacting with customers in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
In the TikTok video, DSV was seen at a booth selling Salmon Salted Egg and other food products at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC). Malaysians were pleasantly surprised as she conversed fluently in Mandarin with a local Chinese family who are avid fans of hers.
At the beginning of the video, DSV asked the family where they were from. The mother explained that they were originally from Sarawak but had been residing in Sabah for a long time. She also mentioned that the family had been wanting to buy DSV’s products online but hadn’t managed to do so.
Excited that DSV had opened a booth near their home, they decided to visit SICC to purchase the products and meet her in person. DSV asked how they knew about the booth, and the mother replied that they always watch DSV’s live streams on TikTok.
The family ended up happily purchasing several food products from DSV, totaling RM565.
