“BMWs, Audis, Hondas & More” – Malaysian Boss Spends RM3 Million on New Cars for Employees!
A Malaysian man is being celebrated as the country's “best boss” after spending millions to buy new cars for his employees.
According to China Press, the man, who owns Warakuya Japanese Restaurant and the Superstar Family KTV chain, invested RM1.8 million on BMW 6 Series vehicles for four long-standing employees.
“These four BMWs are for four ‘veterans’ who helped build the company, as a thank-you for their dedication,” he said. The recipients include a C-suite executive and three outlet managers from locations across Malaysia.
He chose BMWs for these employees as the brand is seen as a symbol of status and provides a comfortable driving experience.
Additionally, he purchased cars from brands like Audi, Toyota, Honda, and Proton for other promoted employees.
In total, he spent RM3.134 million to buy new cars for 31 employees, with deliveries set to take place in stages throughout the year. Even foreign employees were included in the generous gesture!
For those foreign employees without driving licenses, he plans to arrange and cover the cost of their driving tests. “The company will pay for the test fees for Nepali and Myanmar employees as well,” he shared.
Some employees received their second BMW from him, and one receptionist was gifted an Audi.
