"Avoid Food Ventures" – Malaysian Suffers Tooth Injury from Firm Popiah Purchased at Ramadan Bazaar
In a widely circulated TikTok video shared by @ejueju.okodoko, a Malaysian gentleman recounted breaking his tooth while attempting to chew on a Popiah purchased from a local bazaar. Typically known for its soft or crispy texture, this particular Popiah proved exceptionally hard to bite into, resulting in the man's dental mishap.
Expressing his frustration on camera, he held up his broken tooth, addressing the unseen vendor with exasperation: "How could you allow this to happen? This is my tooth!" he exclaimed before dismissing the camera.
Attempting to illustrate the difficulty of consuming the Popiah, he made further attempts to chew another piece, only to resort to utilizing a pestle and mortar to break it down into more manageable fragments. "One of my teeth broke because of this. Who will compensate me?" he lamented.
Having paid RM8 for four pieces of Popiah, the unexpected dental injury added insult to injury. He concluded with a stern message: "If you're not proficient in cooking, refrain from entering the food business."
The man clarified that he hadn't personally purchased the snack: "Someone else bought it for me. I wasn't aware of the stall's name or the bazaar's location." He also cited his age as a factor to be considered.
