22-Year-Old Malaysian Influencer Earns RM30K Monthly While Prioritizing Education: 'It Shapes Your Personality'
Leona, the daughter of Malaysian actor Azhar Sulaiman, recently emphasized the importance of education in shaping personality and critical thinking skills during her appearance on the podcast "Apa Cerita?". She expressed, "I personally think education should be a priority and I hope to set an example for the younger generation out there."
Leona advised influencers and students to prioritize their studies, highlighting that education shapes one's personality rather than being a competition to outdo others. She pointed out that many people today lack critical thinking skills.
Reflecting on her past, Leona shared that during the Covid-19 lockdown, she spent her free time working as an influencer, earning between RM20,000 to RM30,000. Despite the significant earnings, she never considered stopping there, as she initially turned to online content creation to combat boredom.
Currently studying in the UK, Leona has less time for content creation. She cautioned aspiring influencers about the uncertainties of the industry, saying, "There’s no guarantee on how much you can make. It’s all about your relevance to the public and the quality of your content."
In a lighthearted moment during the podcast, Leona joked about hoping the LHDN wouldn’t contact her about her past earnings. She also revealed that she once worked part-time as a hotel waitress for three months, driven by curiosity and the desire for new experiences.
