Malaysian Pair Hosts Pasar Malam-Inspired Wedding Featuring Diverse Food Stalls for Guests
In a TikTok video shared on the page @saraygonephoto, one couple decided on a pasar malam-themed wedding, featuring multiple food stalls serving a diverse array of dishes. The organized yet diverse setup provided a glimpse into the culinary offerings at their wedding ceremony in Parit Buntar, Perak.
From laksa and bihun to roti puri, the event featured designated stalls for teh tarik and keropok lekor. Additionally, there was a separate stall dedicated to ice cream and soya bean desserts.
The bride, named Sarah, explained that their original plan did not involve a variety of stalls as the main food source. However, it gradually evolved due to suggestions from extended family members and sponsors. Eventually, various relatives volunteered to sponsor individual stalls, with neighbors and her father's friends also contributing.
On the wedding day, what started as a small menu expanded to include approximately 12 stalls, a development Sarah deeply appreciated.
The concept received a heartwarming and positive response online, with many praising its creativity and benefitting vendors who had the opportunity to participate in the festivities.
