Indian Expatriate in Malaysia Secures Car Loan Approval Within 24 Hours, Makes Immediate Down-payment
Recently, a Malaysian pre-owned car sales executive named Joshua recounted an encounter with a modest foreign family at his workplace while searching for a new vehicle. In his post on Xiao Hong Shu (RED) under the handle @林仔进口车专业户, Joshua urged others not to hastily judge individuals, especially foreigners, who are contributing to Malaysia's workforce.
"Many of us tend to stereotype foreign workers as individuals engaged in menial tasks, tasks that most of us would shy away from."
The foreign gentleman, accompanied by his family, visited to explore options for a new car. Upon finalizing his choice, he promptly made the down payment and submitted the requisite paperwork. However, the most remarkable aspect was yet to come.
"Remarkably, his loan was approved within a single day, a process that typically takes several days for most, even those with substantial incomes."
Joshua revealed that the family hailed from India and had only resided in Malaysia for six months. When queried about the purchaser, Joshua disclosed that the Indian gentleman works in the IT sector as a manager, earning a five-figure salary monthly.
"Observing the family interact, one could discern their humility and genuine demeanor. They do not display arrogance despite their financial means."
Joshua disclosed that the man opted for a pre-owned Mazda priced at RM68,000, with the family residing in a condominium opposite his workplace.
He emphasized that many are unaware of the skills and expertise possessed by foreign nationals in Malaysia.
"Often, their countries of origin boast professionals like lawyers and doctors."
