Former GISBH Employee Claims He Hasn't Been Paid in 10 Years, Only Provided with Food and Shelter
As the investigation into Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holding (GISBH) continues, a former employee shared his experience on Buletin TV3.
The ex-worker claimed he had never been paid a salary during his 10 years with the company. While GISBH eventually introduced a system where employees were paid between RM50 to RM100 a week, he said he only received this minimal wage from 2013 to 2014.
After being promoted to a full-time position, he alleged that he continued to work without pay, receiving only food and accommodation throughout his employment.
“I was provided with food and shelter but no salary,” the anonymous ex-worker stated.
He also revealed that he was not the only employee in this situation, as others had faced similar treatment. The ex-employee later brought the case to the labour court, which ruled that GISBH should compensate him RM23,100.
Earlier this week, welfare homes allegedly linked to GISBH were raided by PDRM in an operation known as OP Global, during which children and teenagers were rescued from years of abuse.
GISBH has denied all allegations and vowed to fight for the truth, while also seeking public financial assistance for legal representation.
