Brand New SUV Totaled Shortly After Leaving Showroom in Crash with Alleged 19-Year-Old Sedan Driver
A video shared in a Facebook group captures the proud moment a new SUV owner takes to the streets of Kuala Lumpur, right after collecting his vehicle from the showroom.
The dashcam footage quickly went viral when the new SUV was seen being rear-ended by a sedan at a Gombak toll booth, just moments after leaving the showroom.
According to reports from China Press, the SUV sustained extensive damage, leading to speculation that it may be declared a total loss and scrapped.
In the footage, the SUV was slowing down to pass through the toll booth when a black sedan suddenly crashed into it from behind.
The sedan driver is reportedly just 19 years old.
The footage suggests the sedan was speeding as it approached the toll booth, causing the crash. The collision sent the SUV skidding out of the booth, severely damaging the rear of the SUV and crushing the front of the sedan.
To add to the situation, the driver of the sedan is alleged to be only 19 years old.
While it's unclear if there were any injuries, we hope all involved are safe.
