100 Private Jets Used: Mumbai Roads Closed for 4 Days for Wedding of Asia's Richest Man's Son

Go big or go home. Mumbai's roads will be closed for four days, from Friday to Monday (July 12 to 15), to accommodate a grand wedding.

Anant Ambani, son of Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani, is making headlines with his lavish wedding, attended by notable figures including global political leaders and Hollywood celebrities.

Reuters reported that Anant, 29, is marrying Radhika Merchant, also 29. According to Indian police, this wedding is the biggest event of the year and is considered a public event.

Despite Mumbai's heavy traffic, authorities approved the road closures.

The wedding began with traditional Hindu ceremonies on Friday. The weekend will feature receptions attended by the rich, famous, and public figures. According to the itinerary, a special event for Ambani's house staff and management will be held on Monday, July 15.

Ambani spared no expense, renting three Falcon-2000 jets to transport guests and utilizing over 100 private jets during the four-day celebration.

According to the BBC, pop stars like Drake, Lana Del Rey, and Adele are expected to perform. Former British leaders Tony Blair and Boris Johnson also made appearances.

Hollywood actor and wrestler John Cena attended the wedding, where he was photographed with Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan.
